Main transmitting set fitted in submarines for Ship-Ship and Ship-Shore communication. Also fitted in large ships and small ships in different variants:
55M (first modification) - Submarines Taku, Talisman, Tarpon, Tetrarch, Thetis, Thistle, Tigris, Torbay, Triad, Tribune, Trident, Triton, Triumph, Truant, Tuna.
55X (first experimental set) - Submarines Undine, Unity and Ursula.
55V ( the V signaifying either Leaders or small craft of between 500 and 3000 tons) - Gunboats Aphis, Cicala, Cockchafer, Falcon, Gannet, Gnat, Ladybird, Moth, Peterel, Robin, Sandiper, Scarab, Seamew, Tarantula, Tern.
55CH (CCS - Central Control System and HF Portion only fitted) - Cruisers Bonaventure, Dido, Euryalus, Hermione, Naiad, Phoebe, Sirius.
